THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION ARE SEPARATE EVENTS; INVITATIONS ARE SPECIFIC TO EACH CELEBRATION
In early 2025, Emily and Gabriel first met on a blind date set up by their mutual friend, Shanti. At the time, Emily did her best to keep Gabriel at arm’s length; however, Gabriel was persistent (and patient).
After a couple months of dating, Emily finally gave in and they made it official! Since then, they’ve loved spending time together playing pickleball and volleyball, trying new restaurants, wine tasting, and going to local theater productions.
In June, they attended Gaby and Marco’s wedding in Washington, where they fell even deeper in love.
Together, they have traveled to Seattle (a few times), Crater Lake National Park, Disneyland, southern Arizona, and more!
Their families met in late 2025, sharing time together through the holidays.
Around Thanksgiving, Gabriel asked Andy for Emily’s hand in marriage and began designing her engagement ring (with some help from Eryn, Kena, and Emily’s Pinterest board). His plan was to propose in January when they took a trip to Eagle Crest with Ben and Kena; however, the ring didn’t arrive until February 11!
Emily had been convinced the proposal would happen on Valentine’s Day, and was extremely disappointed when it didn’t. Gabriel nearly gave away the surprise, but he stuck to his guns and proposed where he had always planned to do it. The proposal took place at Camp Sherman, a place deeply meaningful to Gabriel, on February 15.
This year, they began reading the Bible together chronologically — a rhythm that reflects the foundation of their relationship. They love Jesus, love each other, and can’t wait to celebrate with the people who have supported them along the way!
